About Me

Jane Butcher Ben Butcher: We are the Butchers, Jane (Mum) and Ben (Son) We became a family on December 1st 1990, the day I met my new soon to be son. Ben was four months old and had (has) Down Syndrome.We are together most of the time and enjoy being part of the Salvation Army, Bible Journaling, music, reading, writing.. We are also enthusiastic and appreciative visitors to the Down Syndrome Cheshire Hub in Northwich. Ben is a proud member of the DSC I Choose Board and has been to London three times representing the DS community at different events. He is also a member of the National Down Syndrome policy advisory group and wants to advocate for and promote the positive side of having Down Syndrome.
